Questions, answered.
Everything you might wonder about sizing, fabric, gifting, and getting your order - written by me, in plain words.
01
Sizing & fit
The hoodie runs true to size with a relaxed fit. Most people find their usual size works well.
Relaxed and waist-length, with dropped shoulders - easy to layer, easy to live in. It is the kind of fit that works whether you are on the couch or out the door.
Size up. This is a piece you reach for on the soft days, and a little extra room only makes it more of a hug. That said, if you prefer a more fitted look, your usual size will work too.
Yes. Same pattern, same fabric, same proportions - the crewneck is simply the hoodie without the hood. If you know your size in one, you know it in the other.
There is, on every product page, with flat measurements for each size. If you are unsure, you can always email me and I will help you figure it out.
02
Fabric & care
The fabric was chosen first. Everything else was secondary.
8.9 oz heavyweight fleece - 80% organic combed ring-spun cotton, 20% recycled polyester. Soft on the outside, brushed even softer on the inside.
Yes, and independently verified. We carry GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), OCS (Organic Content Standard), and GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certifications. These are third-party audits, not self-declarations.
Cold wash, inside-out. Tumble dry low or lay it flat. It will keep being soft if you let it. Avoid high heat, which can affect the fleece over time.

Give Comfort
You do not need to have the right words. You just need an address.
At checkout, choose the hoodie or the crewneck, write a few words (or just a name - that is enough), and add their address. We ship it directly to them with a handwritten card. No price, no invoice, no packing slip in the box.
Never. No pricing, no invoice, no packing slip travels with a Give Comfort order. The only thing in the box is the hoodie (or crewneck) and the card you wrote.
You can. Sign the note however you like, or leave it unsigned. We have seen people send these anonymously to coworkers, to old friends, to neighbors going through something hard. The gift does not need a name attached to mean something.
Yes. Add the room or unit details in the address and we will get it there. If you are not sure about the address, email me and I will help you work it out.

Orders & shipping
Most orders ship within 2 business days.
Most orders ship within 2 business days. You will receive a confirmation email with tracking when it goes out. If you need it by a specific date, email me and I will do what I can.
Free on orders over $50 in the US. Flat rate for orders under that. International shipping rates are shown at checkout.
Right now, Comfort Kind ships within the United States only. I'm a small, hands-on operation — every order gets a personal touch before it ships, which means I'm not yet set up for international duties and customs. If you're outside the U.S. and want to send comfort to someone, email me at support@comfortkind.com and I'll see what I can do.
Yes, if your order has not shipped yet. Email me right away at hello@comfortkind.com and I will update it before it goes out.
05
Returns & the guarantee
Comfort you have to argue for is not comfort.
If it does not feel right, return it within 30 days. No questions asked, no restocking fee. I will refund you in full. Comfort you have to argue for is not comfort.
Email me at hello@comfortkind.com with your order number and I will take care of everything. It is a short email, not a form. I prefer it that way.
For US returns, I cover the shipping label. For international returns, the customer covers the return shipping cost. In both cases, the refund itself has no fees or deductions.
We handle gift returns the same way. Email me, tell me what happened, and I will sort it out. No awkward receipts needed.

The heart of it
The questions I did not expect, but am glad someone asked.
Because I wanted to do two things really, really well rather than many things adequately. The hoodie and the crewneck took years to get right. I am not in a hurry to dilute that by rushing into new categories.
It is the two things I was trying to make: comfort (the physical thing - the softness, the weight, the fabric) and kind (the act of giving it, the intention behind it). The name is also a reminder to be that - comfort kind - with yourself and with others.
Yes. Very small. I run it mostly alone, with some help. When you email me, you are emailing me - Ali - not a support team. I try to respond within a day.
Please do. The thing that has surprised me most about this brand is how many people want to tell me why they bought it, or who they sent it to. Those messages mean a lot. You can always reach me at hello@comfortkind.com.
